
Mystery and History – Cornwall Walking Short Break
This self led walking break will take you on a journey along one of Cornwall’s best coastal paths with wonderful sea views across Mounts Bay. Discover the mystery and history behind the rugged cliffs, sheltered coves and glorious beaches of the Lizard Peninsula. Walk inland through special marshland habitats and onto the ancient Goonhilly Downs before taking a refreshing dip at the beach near Mullion.

Enjoy a three day - two night break, a four day - three night break or a five day - four night break in Cornwall.
Walk 1 - Arrive and check in to your accommodation. Then take a steady ascent onto the Predannack Downs. From here, you'll walk through farmland towards the ancient Goonhilly Downs dotted with standing stones and burial mounds. This area is all part of a National Nature Reserve, filled with rare plants and wildlife.
Walk 2 – Enjoy a gentle walk that takes you across farmland towards the coast at Gunwalloe. Halzephron cliff will provide you with stunning views before following the coast path back to the town of Mullion.
Walk 3 - Today you will enjoy a gentle walk with stunning scenery around the coast of Britain’s most southerly point. You will see local landmarks such as the Lion’s Den and the Lizard lighthouse as well as enjoying the stunning natural features created by the sea.
