Day 1 - El Calafate:
Arrive in the picturesque Southern Patagonian town of El Calafate. Meet your guide at the airport and take a short drive to the lodge in El Calafate. Spend the afternoon exploring this beautiful town.
Peak Altitude: 653 ft (199m)
Day 2 - El Calafate to Perito Moreno Glacier:
Wake up to the beauty of Southern Argentina, surrounded by steep mountain peaks and vibrant blue water. Enjoy breakfast then depart for the Perito Moreno Glacier. Located in Los Glaciares National Park, the Perito Moreno glacier is considered by many to be the 8th natural wonder of the world and is a designated UNESCO World Heritage site. One of the largest glaciers in Patagonia, Perito Moreno reaches an average height of 240 feet as it rises from the glorious Argentino Lake. Spend the day exploring this magnificent glacier and sailing around the lake. Return to Calafate to rest and gear up for the trip north in the morning.

Day 3 - El Calafate to El Chaltén:
Say goodbye to your Calafate guide and take a morning bus ride from El Calafate to El Chalten. Meet your guide and drop off your luggage at the lodge before departing for an afternoon hike to Mirador de las Aguilas. This scenic 1-hour hike takes you through lush forest before arriving at the top where there are panoramic views of El Chalten, including the Fitz Roy range. You may be lucky and see a wild armadillo or condors along the way. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Argentinian barbecue and prepare for the first day of your trek the following day.

Total Hiking: approximately 2 miles (3.2 km) with 1 hour trekking
Day 4 - El Chaltén to Laguna Torre and Thorwood Camp
Depart from the hotel and head west along the Fitz Roy river en route to Laguna Torre and Grand Glacier. At the end of the valley, see Laguna Torre, its glacier, and the famous Mt. Cerro Torre, which is considered one of the most difficult mountains in the world to climb. Sleep at Thorwood Camp that evening.

Total Hiking: approximately 6 miles (9.7 km) with 4 hours of trekking
Day 5 - Thorwood Camp to Mt. Fitz Roy to Camp Poincenot :
After breakfast, head north for another day of magnificent views. The glacial valley you trek though is loved by geologists and photographers alike for its perfect “U” shape. Pass by three more lakes; Laguna Huja, Laguna Lago Capri, and Laguna Madre up to Camp Poincenot where you will spend the night. Drop your bags and take a steep path toward Laguna de Los Tres, the closest you can get to the base of Mt. Fitz Roy. At the top, enjoy breathtaking views of Mt. Fitz Roy, its satellite mountains, and the expansive valley.

Total Hiking: approximately 7 miles (11.2 km) with 4.5 hours of trekking
Day 6 - Poincenot to El Pilar to Laguna Condor:
Hike towards El Pilar where a minivan will be waiting to take you to the Laguna Condor Mountain Hut. Relax in the hot tub or take a bike ride around the area before enjoying a delicious meal at the lodge.

Total Hiking: approximately 5 miles (8 km) with 3 hours trekking
Day 7 - Laguna Condor to El Chaltén:
After breakfast, relax at the lodge or explore the remote Patagonian wilderness around Laguna Condor before heading back to El Chaltén in the late afternoon.
Peak Altitude: 1,312 ft (400m)
Day 8 - El Chaltén to El Calafate Airport:
Take an early-morning bus from Chaltén to Calafate (unaccompanied), arriving at the airport by 1pm for your international departures.
Note, We suggests booking your flight from El Calafate after 4pm in order to prevent any missed connections.
