Day 1 - El Calafate: Arrive to the picturesque Southern Patagonian town of El Calafate. Meet your guide at the airport and take a short drive to our partner lodge in El Calafate. Spend the afternoon exploring this beautiful town. Inclusions: Airport transportation; B&B accommodations. Altitude: 643ft/196m

Day 2 - El Calafate to Perito Moreno Glacier: Awake to the beauty of Southern Argentina, surrounded by steep mountain peaks and vibrant blue water! Enjoy breakfast then depart for the Perito Moreno Glacier. Located in Los Glaciares National Park, the Perito Moreno glacier is considered by many to be the 8th natural wonder of the world and is a designated UNESCO World Heritage site. One of the largest glaciers in Patagonia, Perito Moreno reaches an average height of 240 feet high as it rises from the glorious Argentino Lake. Spend the day exploring this magnificent glacier and sailing around the lake. Arrive back to Calafate by 5pm and rest up for an exciting day tomorrow! Inclusions: Breakfast, box lunch; B&B accommodations; National Park entrance fees. Altitude: 587ft/179m 

Day 3 - El Calafate to El Chaltén: Take a morning bus ride (3 hours) from El Calafate to El Chalten. Drop off your belongings at our partner lodge in El Chalten then depart for an afternoon hike to Mirador de las Aguilas. This scenic 1-hour hike takes you through lush forest before arriving to the top where you'll see panoramic views of El Chalten, including the Fitz Roy range. You may view a wild armadillo or condors along the way! In the evening, enjoy a traditional Argentinian barbecue and prepare for the first day of your trek the following day. Day 4 - El Chaltén to Piedra del Fraile: The day starts with a 30-minute transfer from El Chaltén to Río Electrico. From here, begin walking along the Electrico valley, through an enchanting lenga forest before arriving at Piedra del Fraile, your home for the night. After a short break and lunch, continue along the valley towards the Pollone Glacier and admire the northern face of Mt Fitz Roy. After a short break at this hidden lagoon, return to the mountain lodge in Piedra del Fraile to enjoy a hot meal and rest. Total distance: 9 miles. Approximately 6 hours of trekking. Inclusions: All meals; camping accommodations. Altitude: 1,739ft/530m

Day 5 - Piedra del Fraile to Mt. Fitz Roy to Poincenot: After breakfast, head off towards the Piedras Blancas glacier and river. The path ascends steeply up to Laguna de Los Tres, the closest you can get to Mt Fitz Roy before needing technical skills. At the top, enjoy breathtaking views of Mt. Fitz Roy, its satellite mountains, and the valley through which you have come. Weather permitting, have lunch at the lagoon before starting the descent towards Poincenot, your next camp. Be prepared to take more pictures of this stunning spot in the park! Total distance: 11 miles. Approximately 7-8 hours of trekking. Inclusions: All meals; camping accommodations. Day 6 - Poincenot to Laguna Torre: Arise early to take sunrise photos of Mt. Fitz Roy in a beautiful hue of red, reflected on Laguna Capri. After breakfast, continue through the beautiful lenga forests past the three lagoons – Madre, Hija and Nieta. The path is quite flat, which is a nice break after all the climbing the day before! After a couple of hours, drop into the glacial valley that takes you towards Laguna Torre. This valley is loved by geologists and photographers for its perfect “U” shape. At the end of the valley, see Laguna Torre, its glacier and the famous Mt. Torre, which is considered one of the most difficult mountains in the world to climb. Sleep at Thorwood Camp that evening. Total distance: 12 miles. Approximately 6 hours of trekking. Inclusions: All meals; camping accommodations. Altitude: 2,080ft/634m 

Day 7 - Laguna Torre to El Chaltén: Cross the Fitz Roy River at the tyrolese (zip line), then embark on a steep climb up the Paso de las Agachonas and onto the stunning ridge of the Pliegue Tumbado where you will have panoramic views of the Agujas (needles) and the whole massif. Head back to El Chalten for a rewarding rest. Total distance: 12 miles. Approximately 6-8 hours of trekking. Inclusions: Breakfast, lunch; B&B in El Chaltén. Altitude: 1,759ft/536m

Day 8 - El Chaltén to El Calafate Airport: Take an early-morning bus from Chaltén to Calafate, arriving to the airport by 1pm for your international departures. Note, OneSeed suggests booking your flight from El Calafate after 4pm in order to prevent any missed connections. Altitude: 1,706ft/520m End of services.
