Day 1: Arrival in Koblenz Embarkation is from 4 p.m.
The crew will welcome you on board. Spend the evening and first night in Koblenz.
Day 2: Cruise from Koblenz to Boppard. Cycle tour from Boppard to Rüdesheim.
Sail upstream along the river Rhine from Koblenz to Boppard. Enjoy panoramic views of the unforgettable Upper Middle Rhine Valley, a UNESCO Word Heritage site. From Boppard, cycle on the left bank passing castles, burgs and the celebrated Rock of Lorelei to the beautiful city of Rüdesheim. Overnight stay in Rüdesheim or Bingen.

Day 3: Cycle tour from Rüdesheim to Mainz.
The beautiful landscape and many picturesque houses which dot the route from Rüdesheim to Mainz enhance this bike tour experience. Enjoy Mainz with its fine churches, museums and historical monuments, such as the Cathedral and the Electors Palace, one of the most magnificent residences on the Middle Rhine.

Day 4: Cruise and cycle tour from Mainz to Nierstein.
Cycle via Laubenheim to Nierstein, the largest vine growing community on the river Rhine. Enjoy lunch on board before exploring Nierstein. Why not take time to explore the vineyards on a tractor wagon.

Day 5: Cruise from Nierstein to Mannheim. Cycle tour from Mannheim to Heidelberg.
Sail from Nierstein to Mannheim. From here you cycle to the Celtic city of Ladenburg and the river Neckar. Continue to the old city of Heidelberg. Take time to explore the old town and the castle.

Day 6: Cruise and Cycle tour from Heidelberg to Eberbach.
Ride from Heidelberg through Ziegelhausen and the Odenwald to Neckarsteinach before reaching Eberbach, a picturesque and pleasant old town with narrow streets.

Day 7: Cruise and cycle tour from Eberbach to Bad Wimpfen.
The first stop of today’s bike tour is Burg Hornsberg in Neckarzimmern. Bad Wimpfen, the last destination of this tour, looks like a dream village of the middle Ages.

After breakfast disembarkation until 09:00 am. Individual journey home.

Travelling by train takes about 3.5hours, approx. €45,-per person.
Transfer by mini bus (minimum 4 persons), approx. € 85,-per person (own bikes will be carried for an extra charge of €15per bike). Limited space, reservation for the transfer bus required in advance, to be paid for locally.

The 68 meters long MS PATRIA can accommodate a maximum of 68 guests. The ship has been modernized for boat bike tours and provides 15 cabins on the main deck and 19 cabins on the upper deck. All cabins are small and practical (approx. 7 m²), with two beds standing in a right anglesand a shower and toilet. On the upper deck, the windows can be opened, but for safety reasons they are fixed on the main deck There is individually regulated air conditioning in all cabins on the main deck. This authentic ship has a nice salon with bar and large windows in front of the top deck and a separate restaurant on the main deck. On the partially covered sun deck there are sitting places (tables + chairs) for all guests and a cycle shed. The ship sails under Dutch Flag and management.

Cycle routes/ level of difficulty: The quality of the cycle ways along the route is excellent. Most of the stretches are paved or asphalted, and lead alongside the Rhine dikes without any gradients of note. This makes the trip suitable even for novice cyclist.
• Optional Excursions: tour legs and the ship‘s time in port permitting, an optional excursion programme will be organised. Excursions can only be booked and paid (in cash) aboard the ship.
• Luggage on board: We recommend waterproof rain gear, bike helmet, sun hat and sports shoes. We would like to ask you to do without hardsided luggage, as storage space in the cabin is very limited
