With Halloween finally here, we thought we'd share some spooktacular Cotswold ghost stories...read on if you dare!
The Cotswolds is home to many castles and the wife of Henry VIII, Katharine Parr used to reside at Sudeley Castle. Following her death, her ghost is said to wander the corridors of the castle.
Visitors to Berkeley Castle have also reported blood curdling screams that are believe to be King Edward III after his gruesome murder in the venue.
Several spooky legends can be found in the Cotswolds, Woodchester Mansion being the most famous. The gorgeous Victorian Gothic Mansion was mysteriously left unfinished and hosts some of the scariest ghosts in the country, including a phantom horseman and even a floating head!
Another favourite Cotswold haunted house is Chavenage House. Located in Tetbury, it is not uncommon to feel ice cold chills and you may also see the headless coachman.
