What are the National Trails?
Located all over the country, there are 16 nationally managed trails for walking (and some cycling) just waiting to be traversed. Journeying through mainly landscapes and almost entirely traffic free, the National Trails really are special.
From extensive way-marking to well-maintained paths, it offers excellent getaways in some of the country's most stunning destinations.
Most spectacular walking spots
Ranging in distances and terrain, all of the National Trails offer stunning scenes from coast to countryside. The longest trail is around 630 miles long with the smallest being around 102, so the next thing to do is choose a challenge to suit you.
