Cornwall’s waters pass the test for Summer 2018

The Department for Food, Environment and Rural Affairs has released new statistics for bathing water cleanliness, and the standards are high. All of Cornwall’s bathing beaches have passed with flying colours, whereas Devon only had 95% of it’s beaches pass. Cornwall’s bathing beaches have gained a 100% pass rate for two consecutive years now, making it the perfect place to visit with all the family during the warmer months.

Rainwater run-off, privately owned septic tanks, boats and animals can all cause bacteria in the water, but with help from the Environmental Agency, councils, local communities and many others, Cornwall has kept their bathing waters in great condition.

The beautiful scenery along the Cornish coast makes Cornwall an extremely population destination for tourists across the UK and Worldwide. Visit Cornwall in Summer 2018, and relax knowing the bathing waters surrounding the county are clean and safe for all the family.Check out our tours to Cornwall, and experience the beaches for yourself here: https://www.compass-holidays.com/destinations/uk/cornwall
