Rise Above Ride taking place in August

The Rise Above Sportive event will be taking place at the Cheltenham Racecourse on Sunday 5th August. The event will see a number of experienced and novice cyclists take part in three cycling routes.

Mark Cavendish will be the official star of the day and will be joining all those who have entered to take part in the challenge. All three routes will be going up Cleeve hill, which if you didn’t know happens to be the highest point in the Cotswolds at a whopping 330 metres high, all the rides will go through the most picturesque and breathtaking parts of Cheltenham.

The event is being help in aid of Help for Heroes and Right to Play. Mark Cavendish is a fantastic patron and ambassador for Help for Heroes and the charity started with bike rides to raise funds. They aim to give a second chance to those who put their lives on the line for us and Right to play aims to give children the freedom to enjoy themselves and play. If you would like to donate to either of the charities then please click on the link: http://riseabovesportive.com/charity/

It's still not too late to take part or if you're not quite feeling like getting in the saddle you can always spectate and enjoy the atmosphere of this exciting event!
