8 days, 7 nights from Saturday to Saturday

Day 1 – Individual arrival in Venice. The ‘Serenissima’, with its beautiful buildings, is a wonderful place to explore. The city’s public transport system is well organised and easily accessible to ensure your arrival is safe and efficient.
Day 2 – Venice to Jesolo (35km). The route from Venice takes you through the endless beaches at Litorale di Cavallino, a spit of land north of the lagoon, lined with numerous fishing boats and souvenir stalls. Before leaving Venice, there is the option of an excursion to the lighthouse towards the end of the island, for a last view of the lagoon city and its surrounding islands. On route to Jesolo, take a break from your day’s cycle with a dip in the cool refreshing sea! Spend the night in Jesolo or a seaside resort of the Adriatic.
Day 3 – Jesolo – Portogruaro – Lignano (50km). Along the coastline, past the last fisherman’s cottage, you’ll find Caorle; a small seaside resort with a historical town centre. Once at Caorle, you head inland towards the Julian Alps on the horizon.
Day 4 – Lignano – Grado (48km). Beside the beaches of the Adriatic, there is a lot to discover; from the ruins of former Roman cities to ancient churches to the lonely landscapes on the edge of the lagoon. The journey continues through to Aquilea, once a large city of the Roman Empire. Excavations of the Roman City can be seen in the open air site and in two of the city’s museums.
Day 5 – Grado – Monfalcone (40km). From Grado, you cycle through the unique, natural landscapes of the River Isonzo Mouth Reserve, a diverse environment with fresh water swamps, reed thickets and a watery meadow. Well known for its series of twelve battles between the Austro-Hungarian and Italian armies in World War 1, Isonzo is full of history. Continuing through this paradise full of wildlife and nature, you reach Monfalcone; famous for its large shipyard it’s the perfect base for a beautiful cruise.
Day 6 – Monfalcone – Trieste (25km). Today’s route takes you through the surroundings of Trieste, among the wild landscapes of the rocky caverns, before returning to the beautiful coastline. The coastal road leads you through the unique resorts of Duino, Sistiana, Miramare and Barcola. Take time out to visit the Miramare Castle; situated above the bay of Grignano, in the middle of a beautiful park with more than 2000 plants to enjoy. High above the gulf is the city of Treiste itself. The once harbour city of the Habsburgs Empire is where you spend the night.
Day 7 – Trieste – Portorož/Piran – Trieste (30km). After the first few kilometres of the day, you leave Italy and head into Slovenia. The route continues through well known the seaside resorts of Koper (Capodistria) and Izola (Isola d’Istria), to Piran (Pirano) or Portorož (Portrose), a spa resort on the Slovenian Riviera.
Day 8 – Departure. Today disembarkation is a 9.00am as we see the end of the service.
