The Tirrenian Sea, Gulf of Naples and Amalfi Coast
Departure every week from 23/04 to 25/06 and from 03/09 to 22/10 (inclusive). They all have air conditioning with independent regulation, hairdryer, LCD TV and Hi-Fi, a small wardrobe, enough space to place bags and luggage (please exclude rigid luggage), a safe and portholes that can be opened. The ship is furnished with style, it boasts prestigious wood furnishings and fittings, as well as comfortable inner spaces, such as the spacious dinette with bar. The guests can also take advantage of a large solarium and lie down on comfortable beach mattresses enjoying the sounds of the sea. The back deck is covered and has a table for breakfasts and dinners. We pride ourselves on our onboard catering, which is the result of utilising old recipes from seaside villages. Carpaccio, fresh seafood and vegetables, pasta, meat and the herbs are an absolute must on our table. This tour includes Full board accommodation, a tour pack , bicycle hire and guide.
8 days, 7 nights from Saturday to Saturday
Day 1 - Individual arrival. Embarkation at 18.00 from the Marina di Castellammare di Stabia. Settle in then meet for a welcome drink, dinner and presentation of the program.
Day 2 - Cycle trip to Pompeii (14 km). Cycle to Pompeii and explore Pompeii and the Villa dei Misteri. This is the biggest open-air archaeological site in the world, where the huge eruption of Vesuvius in 79 A.D froze people forever under ashes and lava in their daily activities. Return journey to the Marina di Castellammare and departure with the caique towards Sorrento. Explore the town by foot before returning to the boat. Overnight on the gulet in the roadstead in Sorrento.
Day 3 - Sorrento – Positano – Amalfi (34 km). In the morning set sail along the Sorrento coast. Cross “Passo San Pietro” (St. Peter’s pass) and enter the Amalfi coast. Here you disembark and cycle along the wonderful road overlooking the sea to Positano. Its colourful houses have been built in the shape of an amphitheatre overlooking the sea, giving a unique and picturesque aspect to the village. After Positano you continue towards Amalfi, the most powerful Mariner Republic at the end of X century. Return to the gulet and stay overnight in the port of Amalfi.
Day 4 - Amalfi – Minori – Cetara – Vietri – Salerno (24 km) + alternative Ravello (35 km). From Amalfi continue cycling along the coast passing the villages of Minori, Maiori and Cetara. If you wish you can make a detour and go up to Ravello where the Dome of Saint Pantaleone really stands out. From the village you can enjoy a view beyond the Gulf of Salerno and up to the Cilento mountains. Take your time and visit Villa Cimbrone and Villa Rufolo, whose architecture was an inspiration for Wagner. Head back to the coast and on to Vietri and Salerno where you will meet the gulet. Stay overnight in the roadstead in Salerno.
Day 5 - Start the day by sailing to Capri. The gulet will stop on the way for swimming and to admire the Amalfi coast from the sea. Arrival in Capri is in the morning at Marina Grande. Disembark and explore the island on foot, head for the village of Capri with its famous “piazzetta” and continue to the Faraglioni (3 stacks). From above the cliff you can enjoy a wonderful panorama of the Gulf of Naples dominated by the Vesuvius. Return to the gulet and stay overnight in the port of Porto Sant’Angelo (Ischia Island).
Day 6 - Cycling from the thermal village of S. Angelo you cross the west part of the island with the scents and flavours of the Mediterranean sea, through tiny villages and visiting some of the small museums along the route. Rejoin the gulet and stay overnight in the port of Ischia.
Day 7 - Sail up to Procida. Disembark and explore the town and San Michele Abbey. Return to the boat to continue to Napoli. In the afternoon rejoin the gulet and sail up to Marina di Castellammare di Stabia where you stay overnight.
Day 8 - Departure. Disembarkation at 09.00.
Extra nights are available in Naples.The captain and the guide reserve the right to make alterations to the itinerary, depending on wind, sea and weather conditions or organizational requirements.
