Cycle around the most famous Bavarian Lakes taking in views of the mountains and visiting the Baroque style towns along the way.

Generally, this is an easy tour of the area. There are a few short ascents but it is overall an enjoyable bike ride for every ability. The tour travels approximately 295km around the area. The tour is available from 25th April until 13th September 2009. Further tours are available on request between 13th September and 10th October, but will be subject to a £160 surcharge due to the festival. Day 1 - Arrive in Munich Day 2 - Cycle from Munich through the Forstenrieder Park to Lake Starnberger See. Continue on cycle paths that run along the shore of the lake to Seeshaupt. You'll continue to Murnau am Staffelsee to stay the night, past Lake Osterseen and Lake Riegsee. Day 3 - Travel through the nature reserve of Murnauer Moors and continue through the unspoilt countryside along the River Loisach to Garmisch Partenkirchen. This will leave you with plenty of time to visit Germany's highest summit in the Alps at 2962m high. Day 4 - Take the train to Scharnitz and continue with a gentle climb to the source of the Isar River. Freewheel down the valley with stunning views of the Karwendel and Wetterstein mountains and arrive in Wallgau Day 5 - Past Isarwinkel to the turquoise waters of the Sylvenstein Lake, through the Lenggries to Bad Tolz. Day 6 - A circular route from Bad Tolz past Lake Tegernsee to Gmund am Tegernsee. Along the valley back to Bad Tolz taking in the thermal spas and local markets along the way Day 7 - Follow the Isar cycle path through Garetsried and wolfratshausen to Grunwald. There are a few short ascents along the way, before reaching the capital Munich. Day 8 - Depart or extension days of the tour

This tour will run as above, but the journey from Munich to Murnau is extended and split over two days. Therefore, Day 1 will involve a trip from Munich to Lake Starnberger See and Day 2 will be a trip from the lake to Murnau.
