The tour is approximately 240km, spread over 8 days. Accessible by air, rail and car, the area is extremely beautiful and offers a pleasurable experience. This is an 8 day tour based in good inns and middle class hotels. 3* and 4* hotels and extra days are available on request. Day 1 - Arrive in Constance and enjoy a stroll of this beautiful town. Day 2 - Ride out past Wollmatinger Ried to the island of Reichenau. Reichenau was given UNESCO status of heritage of nature and culture in 2001 and is a very beautiful place. Take a boat to the Peninsula of Hori and Gaienhofen before riding to Stein, a medieval town where you will stay. Day 3 - Begin with a visit to a Franciscan monastry on Werd Island before continuing your journey around the lake. You'll cycle to to the flower island of Mainau before taking a boat to Uberlingen. Day 4 - Today you'll tour a baroque pilgrim church Birnau before continuing to Uhldingen, Meersburg, Hagnau and Immenstaad before finishing in Friedrichshafen. Day 5 - Cycle through fruit orchards to Lindau, a protected town in the middle of an island. Cross the Border into Austria and cycle on to the city of Bregenz. Day 6 - Today you'll cross the River Rhine which rushes into the lake. You'll cross into Switzerland to Altenrhein before continuing along the lake to the harbour Rorschach. Day 7 - The last day of this cycle tour is dedicated to Canton Thurgau. This is also known as apple-canton due to the importance of the apple orchards. You'll continue on around the lake and return to Constance where you began the tour. Day 8 - Depart
